About the Drisha Institute for Jewish Education

Founded in 1979 in New York City, the Drisha Institute for Jewish Education advances a model of serious learning that is engaged, committed, and open. Drisha offers full-time and part-time learning programs focused on classical Jewish texts for high school students, college students and adults in the United States and Israel. Drisha also works to advance women’s learning at the highest level. In addition, Drisha designs and hosts special programs for the broader community that bridge Jewish learning and critical social and religious issues.
