Shiur Bet

Growing to the Next Level

Our Shiur Bet students have already gained experience and skills in limmud, and now seek to take ownership of their spiritual world and develop it further.

Our curriculum for Shiur Bet focuses on fostering a sense of independence and improving skills in learning Gemara, both on one’s own and within a group. Alongside learning Gemara, more time is spent on Halacha, with an emphasis on getting acquainted and acquiring the tools necessary for learning Tur and Shulchan Aruch, as well as other poskim achronim. In addition to those, students are offered a choice between a Mishna track and a Machshava track, both of which include 3 sedarim and a shiur every week.

Another main focus of the Shiur Bet curriculum is on students’ training in teaching. Students are offered opportunities to give a chaburah as part of the Yeshiva schedule, with support and mentorship of the staff. They also experience and practice halachic writing. We encourage our Shiur Bet students to start academic studies and take courses towards a teaching certificate, which we view as an ideal.

Our tefillah as a group, in Yeshiva, relies strongly on our Shiur Bet students who carry and shape it, through an emphasis on their personal spiritual journey and their place as an integral part of the chavurah.
