Yeshivat Drisha opened its doors in 2018, with the dream to become a nurturing space for young women ready to take their place in the world of Torah learning. Today, our Beit Midrash is home to a warm, close-knit community of learners, all devoted to taking their next step, and the next after it, on the road of Limmud Torah and Avodat Hashem.
We believe that learning Torah has the power to open doors and hearts.
As students engage with deep intellectual and spiritual questions, joint discussion and reflection bring them together. Through limmud, discourse and shared experiences, strong bonds are forged here every year – the basis for a meaningful relationship with Limmud Torah and the Beit Midrash.
Learn at Drisha
Yeshivat Drisha’s curriculum is unique within the world of women’s Torah learning, with its special emphasis on each student’s personal path and progress.
We offer one-on-one mentorship for every student, to foster intellectual, personal and spiritual growth.
Through this, we cultivate the development of strong learning skills, and a deep and nuanced relationship with the materials studied.
At Drisha You'll Find:
- A personally-tailored learning program, suited to your skills and needs through one-on-one mentorship
- Small, intimate Beit Midrash environment
- Women-only leadership and core faculty, all dedicated to ongoing learning in addition to teaching
- Shiur Alef students join advanced learners, to become an integral parts of our Beit Midrash
Our pillars
Limmud Torah
At the Yeshiva, we view Gemara as the cornerstone of Jewish learning. We believe that only through putting in the legwork can a student build their Limmud “muscles”; through time spent learning – independently, with a peer-chavruta and with a mentor – skills develop and a priceless familiarity is gained.
Torat Chayim
We believe that Torah should be the light which illuminates our day-to-day lives. We also believe that limmud cannot keep within the confines of the Beit Midrash; it must encounter real-life contexts, issues and struggles, and be formed by them.
Avoda She'Balev
We aim to nurture within our students a passionate, luminous inner spiritual world, and to give them tools so that they may keep growing and evolving spiritually through limmud alongside tefila, through the written word and through music and niggun.
Shiur Alef at Drisha
Shiur Alef students from overseas make up about one third of the Shiur Alef group, and are completely integrated with the Israeli students, who make up the majority of the Yeshiva community.
Overseas students live and learn with their Israeli counterparts in a Hebrew speaking environment, while being supported by their own English speaking staff, and having unique extra curricular programming throughout the year.
Students live in comfortable, newly renovated dormitories within the beautiful green grounds of Kibbutz Kfar Etzion, with access to laundry facilities and a fully equipped kitchen.
